  • Fanatec on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
    • Here is the long awaited news about PlayStation 4 and Project CARS.

With the ClubSport Wheel V2 you can play all three versions of Project CARS.

Please note that for Xbox One you still need to add a Xbox One compatible steering wheel rim while on the PS4 the wheels will work as they are and you don't even need to put them in PlayStation mode.

The first Xbox One steering wheel will be announced very soon.

      Press release:

Slightly Mad Studios and Fanatec are proud to announce today that Project CARS will now support a range of Fanatec hardware on both PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.

"Wheels, pedals, and gear sticks are the natural input devices for racing games; we have an innate knowledge of how they work from real life and they provide the most immersive, authentic experience for gamers.” said Andy Tudor, Creative Director. "So as we near the launch of Project CARS we’re pleased to announce additional support for the following Fanatec hardware on  PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One…"

“Gamers have been enjoying the solid build quality, integrated technology, and pure driving sensation of these fantastic products for a while now on PC and previous-generation platforms but through a continued collaboration with the team at Fanatec players are now going to be able to use the wheels they already own or are thinking of purchasing with Project CARS via an update on day one.”

“The quality of the input devices play an important role in the immersion factor of a simulation and especially our ClubSport series delivers an automotive quality and experience level. We are now bringing this level to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and Project CARS is the perfect title to make best use of our technology. • New shipping date for ClubSport Wheel Base V2
    • Today, we had to set a new delivery date for the CSW B V2 and it is now May 15th. This means all orders up to now will be delivered at the promised dates or earlier but new orders will not be shipped before middle of may.

We were surprised (again) by the strong demand as we are continuously increasing the production but the amount of orders is going up and up. The invite system is working great but although we are sending out  several hundreds of codes everyday, it will still take several weeks until all our customers have received a code.

There are no news on the Xbox One steering wheel yet but things are smooth and we plan to make an announcement by the end of march so you know what to do if you plan to buy Project CARS.

  • The wait is over! Clubsport Wheel Base V2 and Shifter are on the way to customers
    • All obstacles were removed and all tests succesful so we can start the delivery of the ClubSport Wheel Base V2 from today.

All customers who pre-ordered the V1 and have been upgraded will get their wheel next week and the week after, depending on where they are located.

Production is now running on full speed and more inventory is on the way. But as the pre-orders are rising fast, we will have to postpone the shipping date for new orders very soon.

We have also started to ship all open orders of the ClubSport Shifter and production is also running well here.

  • CSW B V2 discount reduction
    • All owners of the ClubSport Wheel Base V1 and the CSR Elite base should now have received their codes. If not, please contact our sales team.

Therefore we will now gradually reduce the pre-order discount by tomorrow.

We are wondering if we should reduce the discount in total and ship more units by air. We made the below poll to get your opinion about it.

The first units of the new wheel base should be shipped to customers within October but we cannot give more details at the moment.

So if you place an order now, the delivery would be early December. This delivery time could be reduced.

  • Fanatec products on Xbox One UPDATE
    • Landshut, Germany – 3.10.2014 – This is the announcement many people have been waiting for and we are happy to announce that Endor AG (the company behind the brand Fanatec) and Microsoft Corp. have closed a license agreement to make racing peripherals for the Xbox One.
Fanatec plans to release a broad line up of racing wheels which will fit all kind of racing styles and different budgets.
Xbox One brings the latest in innovation and power to the development of racing peripherals giving fans of Fanatec products the opportunity to play the newest Xbox One titles with full support and integration.
Available soon, fans will be able to enable Xbox One compatibility on their Fanatec wheel bases by simply attaching an Xbox One steering wheel to an Xbox One enabled Fanatec wheel base (like the ClubSport Wheel Base V2), making their whole system compatible to Xbox One. Additional details and features will be announced soon.
Additional Fanatec peripherals like pedals, shifters or handbrakes that were purchased with an Xbox 360 will also be compatible with  Xbox One. The modular configuration system in the Fanatec webshop allows you to purchase only the components you need.

Thomas Jackermeier, CEO of Endor/Fanatec: “I am very excited to announce this partnership as we have been working with Microsoft behind the scenes on new and exciting products. Xbox One and “Forza Motorsport” will continue to be a landmark of ultra-realistic racing simulations on any gaming console and we look forward to bringing this realism to a whole new level for our fans.”

  • Introducing the ClubSport Shifter V1.5
    • Earlier this year we had a flood in our factory in China which caused a long delay as all inventory and the machines were destroyed (and not insured).

We knew this will take quite some time so we used this time to make several improvements on the product to make it more reliable. The new V1.5 of the ClubSport Shifter and ClubSport Shifter SQ has a complete new electronics with new hall sensors in order to avoid any calibration issues and improve durability. The looks of the shifter and other functionality remains the same.

All customers who pre-ordered a CSS or CSS SQ will get a free upgrade to this version.

But there is also good news for the owners of the V1 version which we sold. All CSS and CSS SQ will get a warranty extension of an additional year so you do not need to be concerned. If your shifter is among the few which caused trouble then we will fix it. Of course we will only fix shifters with actual problems and will not exchange all V1 against V1.5 now.

The production of V1.5 has already started and the first products are on the way but unfortunately we cannot deliver all shifters as promised by the end of September. The shifters will be delivered according to the purchase date per region within October and the last pre-orders will be fulfilled by the end of October.

New orders now have a delivery date of end of November. The new factory has bigger capacity so we hope that we can start selling directly off the warehouses soon.

  • First waves of invites is out
    • All customers who bought a CSR Elite or a ClubSport Wheel Base V1 in our webshop should have received an invite code by now.

Before we send out the codes for the next category we want to make sure that all those customers actually had the chance to purchase the new ClubSport Wheel Base V2.

So if you fall into that category and have not received your code yet, please leave a short comment with your problem below this post.

I would like to ask all others not to comment so it is easier for us to identify the ones which need attention.

      Some advise:
      • You do not need to enter the code somewhere. Only if you own a valid code you will be able to purchase the new wheel base
      • If you can order the CSW B V2 then you have a valid code!
      • Make sure you log in with the account (e-mail) to what we have sent the notification e-mail
      • Let us know if you ordered more than one wheel before so we can send you more codes. Every customer just gets one code by default.

We had to hold back the first shipment to make final compatibility tests with the new gaming console as we want to be 100% sure that everything works well. Therefore the first shipment is a little bit delayed. Our new target is end of October. If you place a new order you are now in the batch of early December.

  • ClubSport Wheel Base V2 now available for pre-order
    • We have started production of the ClubSport Wheel Base V2 last week and the first shipments will leave the factory next week. Therefore it is time to make the product available for PRE-ORDER.

The first customers to receive the product will be the ones who pre-ordered the old V1 version and enjoyed a free upgrade. We will also fly in those units to deliver them as fast as possible.

As mentioned before, you will need an invite code to place the order. More info on the invite codes can be found hereClubSport Wheel Base V2 Invite Code FAQs

If you have a code to share or need a new one you can leave a comment there.

As long as we do not have enough products in stock, we will keep the pre-order discount so it is likely that not only CSW and CSR E owners will be able to enjoy this discount.

The first invite codes have been sent out! You will be notified by e-mail and then you should look into you profile page.

  • The ClubSport Wheel Base V2 - Servo Power and multi platform
    • The day has come and I am proud to show you the brand new ClubSport Wheel Base V2.

      image

Although it looks familiar to you it has almost no part which has not been modified or replaced to make it a better base.

Our focus was durability, durability, durability and then performance.  And while we made a radical re-design, we decided to make an offer nobody can refuse.

The smoothness, vividness and precision of a Direct Drive wheel combined with a torque increase of about 75% and (optional) compatibility to the latest gaming consoles.  And all that with a moderate price increase.

      Here are the details:

      7 Ultra Precise

We replaced the optical sensor with two magnetic high resolution hall sensors mounted on both the motor and the steering axis. The new sensors have double the resolution and the magnetic sensore are less vulnerable to dust or scratched code discs.

      6 Smoothastic

The cogging of this system cannot be felt by a human anymore. It is incredible smooth and feels natural and realistic. It is on par or better with the best and most expensive wheel out there although those wheels costs a multiple of the CSW B V2.

Every little bump can be felt and effects which were filtered by the wheel mechanics can now be felt. Your racing simulations will feel different and new to you.

      5 Rock Solid

Our focus was to achieve high durability even for hardcore users.
      •    Improved QR release with rubber o-ring and less tolerance in production
      •    A brushless motor which can be cooled much easier as it gets hot on the outside and not on the inside so heat can be transfered better
      •    New cooling system featuring an additional fan on the backside right behind the new huge heat sink
      •    Integrated heat sensor inside the motor
      •    Motor can now even be operated at 180 C° although the FOR overclocking would be de-activated already at 120 C° and FF would shut down at 130°C. The motor has plenty of power so most people will not use max settings anyway. And during betatests it never happened that a motor was shut down or the FF was cut due to overheating.
      •    Ball bearings on the motor axis and bigger ball bearings inside the pulleys so we can increase the belt tension and avoid any belt slip. At the same time we have much less drag in the system.
      •    Magnetic sensors instead of the optical so we avoid problems with dust and scratches
      •    New main cable
      •    New electronics
      •    And many other small improvements to the overall build quality

      4 Power. A lot.

The new motor is custom designed and exclusive to Fanatec. Although the gear ratio has been changed to increase the rotation speed, it delivers about 75% more torque than the CSW B V1. This means over 7 NM of sheer power and this is enough to use even heavy rims with no disadvantages. The size of the power supply has also increased in order to feed the big motor.

      3 Brushless Servo

A brushless servo motor is currently state-of-the-art for force feedback systems and in principle this is exactly the same motor as the most expensive direct drive base units out there.
      •    Smooth performance with no cogging (in combination with our Poly-V belt drive system or direct drive)
      •    Easier to cool as the heat is on the outside of the motor and not on the motor shaft
      •    Strong axis with ball bearings
      •    Optimized for use in stall at max power
      •    Fast acceleration
      •    More efficiency -> more torque with same power

We had to develop entire new electronics for that motor as the motor driver is quite complex. Now that it is done we can easily use it for smaller brushless motors or a direct drive wheel.

      2 Next Generation

The ClubSport Wheel Base V2 is the next generation of ourwheel base but there is also a strong demand of wheels for “Next-Gen” consoles. People were asking us to make their wheels compatible to the Xbox One and Playstation 4  but if we want to make it official and legal then we need to follow the rules of the console makers and they clearly do not allow that.

So how can we make a product where there is a chance that the customer can keep at least most of the equipment he purchased? We can easily make the pedals, shifters and handbrake compatible and this is what we did but what about the base unit?

And how can we make a product multi-platform compatible if we can only get approval for a license if the product has only the symbols of either one console on it?

We came up with an idea which brings modularity to a whole new level and protects your investment. If you play on PC then just go ahead and purchase the wheel base as it is and you will not be bothered with symbols which might hurt your eye.

But if you want to enjoy the painless simplicity of a console with its great exclusive racing simulations then you will get the option to buy an optional steering wheel which will add full console compatibility to this base.

We want to achieve compatibility to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and we are happy to announce that we already signed a contract with one of them. We will announce this product at the end of this year.

There will be multiple steering wheels available in different price ranges and they will compatible to several Fanatec base units from mid-range to direct drive.

      1 By Invitation Only

The great response we get from our beta testers lead us to the conclusion that the demand for this product will be much bigger than the supply. Production output will be lower as before as we spend even more time on quality control and testing.

At the same time we want to honor the loyalty of our existing customers and want to offer a special pre-order discount for the owners of the current ClubSport and CSR Elite base so that they can enjoy a little upgrade advantage.

      This is how it works:
      •    We will send an e-mail to our webshop customers with an invite code. There will be several waves of e-mails in the next months.
      •    Only after you entered the code to your profile page you will be able to purchase or pre-order this product
      •    After you purchased one V2 base you will receive a second code. You can give that to a friend or buy a second base.
      •    Only one code will be given with a purchase as we want to avoid that people are selling their products or invites on eBay and make money with it.
      •    We will also give away invites in giveaway events so frequent followers of the blog or Facebook will also get a chance to get an invite

This is the priority we will use for the invites to make it as fair and transparent as possible.
      1.    Webshop customers of the CSW B V1 and CSR E (sorted by purchase date)
      2.    Webshop customers of other ClubSport products like CSP or CSS
      3.    All other Fanatec customers

Of course we will treat all territories with the same priority.

Not every customer will use his invite so go ahead and ask your friends if they use their invite of if they give it to you in case you are not on the list yet. It is possible and welcome to transfer invite codes.

Please do not ask our sales team for invites. They are not authorized to give out codes anyway. If it is your turn then you will get an e-mail. We will open a thread in our forum which explains more details and where you can also ask for invites from other members.

By the way, all lucky customers who placed a pre-order for the old V1 base just got a free upgrade to V2 and they are the first to receive the new product.

  • The best for last: The Porsche 918 RSR Steering Wheel
    • Please welcome the Porsche 918 RSR Steering wheel for your ClubSport Wheel Base.

The race version of the Porsche 918 supercar is the best what Porsche has to offer at the moment and a true masterpiece of Germaneering.

We loved the breathtaking style of the car and the interior from the first moment and the steering wheel got our attention right away.

The combination of elegant super car and minimalistic race car style is unmatched and there is no word to describe how great it feels in your hand.

But form follows function so it also comes with the extremely helpful shift light indicators which are placed right in front of your eyes. By the use of expensive materials like carbon fibre and high-end PU foam and leather on the rim we were also able to reduce the weight significantly. This will result in much better performance.

    • New driver version 200 and CSW firmware 53 - UPDATE
      • -UPDATE-  Please connect your Fanatec devices and power on before you install the driver.

Time to upgrade your wheel. The new DRIVER brings a lot of new features and the new firmware for the ClubSport Wheel does not only support the new Universal Hub but also brings several improvements in the force feedback.

Driver v200 (for all Fanatec wheels):
        • Now shows the
firmware version of our wheels (CSW, CSRE, CSR, GT3V2, GT2, PWTS) in the
          “update” tab of your device.
        • The driver can carry a
new firmware for the CSW directly and the updater for the CSW is included as
well. It will start automatically if you set the CSW into bootloader mode.
        • Automatic detection if the your CSW has an older firmware installed than the one which is
          included in the driver.
        • New firmware for CSW
          (V53) included!
        • The driver also
contains both firmwares for the CS USB Adapter and asks you which mode you want
          to use (handbrake or shifter)

        • In the update tab you
can start the FW updater to change the firmware from handbrake to shifter and
          “vice versa”
        • Handbrake bar for CSP
added (if handbrake is connected directly to the CSP)

New functions of firmware 053 for CSW (ClubSport Wheel Base):

        • Improved wheel centering after boot up
        • "Center bump issue" has been improved significantly. More improvements will have other negative side effects so this is the optimum.
        • New rims added
        • DPR, SPR and FOR max. settings are now set to 150 (%) to avoid overclocking

Download Driver v200 with CSW Firmware 053

        • Flat1
        • GT
        • Drift

If this does not meet your requirement you can select a rim of a 3rd party manufacturer like MOMO, SPARCO or OMP. The 6-hole-pattern is compatible to these brands and with adapters (from the rim makers) to many other rims. Therefore you can choose between hundreds of rims  and you still have the full functionality you need for simracing.

The following components are included in the Universal Hub:

        • 4 x small button boxes with 3 buttons each
        • 2 x small levers and 2 x long levers
        • 1 x pair of small shifter paddles
        • 1 x pair of large and fully adjustable shifter paddles
        • 1 x Encoder with 7 functions: turn left, turn right, up, down, left, right, push
        • LED display to show Tuning and telemetry info. Can we used in two positions
        • USB charging port (no data)

There is also a 5th connector for another button box and the data port for further expansion of functionality. An analog joystick or vibration function is not supported at this point.

We placed 16 buttons on top of the hub so you always have the fully functionality even if you prefer a clean look without the button boxes. The button boxes are mapped with those 16 buttons so you are not loosing any functionality in case you cannot reach them. If the PlayStation buttons hurt your eyes or feelings, then you can simply take a black marker and paint them.

Available this summer for 249,95 Euro / USD (incl. tax / excl. tax)

The weight and exact deliery dates will be announced later.

    • Drift & Rallye Part I: ClubSport Static Shifter Paddles
      • Drifting and rallye driving demands other techniques than road track racing. The wheel spins faster and steering angles are much bigger.

If you don't want to get confused with shifting when your wheel rim is upside down, you need the ClubSport Static Shifter Paddles. They are also a popular choice in many sport cars like Ferrari.

But as you want to drive F1 games with the Formula rim as well, we made the Static Shifter Paddles with a quick release system so you can mount and unmount them within seconds.

The shifter paddle position can be adjusted in many ways to fit all wheel rim sizes. It is made of fine CNC machined and anodized aluminum and matches perfectly to your wheel base.

On the picture and video you see the optional carbon fiber version of the paddles. The default version is black metal.

Available this summer for 79,95 USD / Euro (excl. tax / incl. tax).

    • Introducing the GT Wheel Rim for your ClubSport Wheel
      • So what about another GT style rim with neutral branding and our modular button system?

The GT rim also shows the possibility to mount any smartphone (not included) on the (optiona) mobile phone holder. There are many free or paid apps available for Android or iPhone and they work with several important PC racing simulations like pCars, iRacing, Assetto Corsa or rFactor 2.

Now the biggest difference to other solutions is the integrated power supply so you can charge your phone and use it in long races.

Rene Rast shows in the video below how it works.

    • Going around in Circles with the new Oval Rim
      • So your favorite style is to always drive in the same direction and slipstream is more important to you than high-tech? Try out the NEW OVAL RIM for your ClubSport Wheel.

It is an authentic 1:1 replica of the original steering wheels and is covered with suede leather. The soft hub cover in the middle can be exchanged against a metal hub cover just like on the Classic rim but in black colour.

The dish is deeper than the Classic but the diameter is the same with 350 mm. That is the same diameter as they have in the NASCAR race cars.

And in order to keep the original design we added just one button. In fact it is an encoder button so you can map 7 functions to it.

It will be available this summer at a price of 349,95 USD / EUR (excl.tax  / incl. tax)

    • Xbox One Compatibility FAQ and Poll
      • We are continuously getting a lot of questions but also complaints
from our customers about the COMPATIBILITY of Xbox 360 wheels to Xbox
One so we decided to make a FAQ and poll about it.

Did Microsoft allow steering wheels (or other input devices) of the first generation Xbox to be compatible to the Xbox 360?

        No

Was there a legal and official way to make Xbox (first generation) wheels fully compatible to Xbox 360 ?

        No

Will it be technically possible to make an adapter to use Xbox 360 peripherals (like steering wheels) on the Xbox One?

        Probably
yes but the effort and complication would be significant. The new
console uses a completely different force feedback communication
protocol, wireless transmission protocol and a different security chip.
The security chip needs to be purchased by the 3rd party manufacturer
from Microsoft and it makes sure that only official licensed products
can be connected to the console. Only if you get the official approval
from Microsoft you will be able to purchase such a security chip for
Xbox One. Besides that, given the high development costs and limited
market it would not be possible to offer it at a cheap price.

Does Microsoft allow the use of Xbox 360 devices to be used on Xbox One?

        So
far no and there is no indication that this will change. This means it
is impossible to make such an adapter. This is the case for any company
and not just us. There are other expensive peripherals like music
instruments for Xbox 360 which also cannot be used anymore.

Did Fanatec plan to make such an adapter or do you rather prefer to sell new wheels?

        Of
course we would have rather made a simple adapter or even just a
firmware update and continue to sell the wheels we have. Instead we now
have to develop something completely new. As other companies were
faster, the chance of losing customers is very high. This is not in our
        interest at all!

Can you make such an adapter without the confirmation of Microsoft and sell it directly or indirectly to your customers?

        Making
a device which cracks the security chip of Microsoft is clearly not
legal and we would immediately destroy the good relationship with
Microsoft. Furthermore we would be sued if we would attempt to sell or
even just support the development of such a device.
        If Microsoft would
allow such an adapter then the whole security chip system would not make
any sense anymore as it would suddenly be an open system and you can
        connect anything to the console.
        This system actually has positive
effects for the consumer as well as it makes sure that all connected
peripherals are tested and work with all games. This is not the case on
        other consoles.

Since when do you know that such an adapter is not possible?

        Microsoft
never confirmed that such an adapter is possible or not and we were
waiting up to now. But given the technical complexity and also the
philosophy of Microsoft, we do not expect any more that such an adapter
will ever come to the market.

Are you working on a new Xbox One wheel
and when will it be released?

We do work on a next generation wheel and
the Xbox One is a key market for us. But at that point we cannot reveal
any further information or give a timeline. If there is any announcement
it will be made here on the blog.

Why did you not release an Xbox One
        wheel at launch?

We would have loved to do so but the 3rd party
peripheral department of Microsoft which authorizes all Xbox peripherals
has limited capacity. Therefore other companies which make much bigger
business with Microsoft than us got this wheel business first. Our
relationship is very good with them but we have to respect that bigger
customers get better service. That is a standard business practice and
there is not much we can do about it.

The only one who can change that
is the Xbox One customer with its’ buying behavior because Microsoft
likes whatever the Xbox user likes and buys.

        PS: PS4 compatibility will
be discussed separately as it is a completely different and independent
        subject

    • Moderators wanted
      • The new forum could be launched at any time now but we need MODERATORS to help us to keep to the discussions clean and organized.

In several simracing communicties out there, there are multiple threads about Fanatec products but the threads are super long and information is very hard to find.
There are always two type of threads:
        1. Anything related how to modify and tune your products
        2. People looking for technical help on some specific problem

My idea is to make searate forum categories for all main products or product categories. So for each product there will be modding discussions and support discussions.

In order to keep a good overview we should avoid that the same issues are discussed in different threads. Therefore each discussion should represent one major issue and in the opening post you should find any helpful information how to solve this issue:
        • Description of the symptoms
        • Photos and videos
        • How to repair or solve
        • Link to drivers/firmware/manual
        • What spare parts are needed
        • And any other info which is needed

In the discussion below the opening post, people can comment if something needs to be changed or if the information was useful.

If your wheel is covered by warranty then you just have to contact our support but when warranty is over then the community can help each other here. We will also do our best to support that because we want our customers to buy our new products because they are better and not because their old wheel cannot be fixed anymore.

So if you like to help us and have experience with communities or moderation, please leave a comment and let me know.

    • Fanatec Webshop Japan is now open
      • It took quite a while to get this done but we are proud to announce that Fanatec is now available in Japan through our own Fanatec webshop.

For this purpose we have founded Endor Japan and set-up logistics in Japan so that we can deliver fast service and communicate in Japanese language.

Up to now the selection is still limited until everything runs smoothly but is planned to have the same product portfolio available in all territories.

What is next? On top of our target list is a subsidary in Brazil and have to warehouse in Hong Kong to deliver to all places we are not represented yet. But considering the long time it took to get to Japan, I will not make any promises when that will happen.

Edit: We are also still planning to have our own canadian warehouse. I did not mention it as this region is already covered. It is an important improvement we have to make.

    • New product selection system
      • Since last week we are running a new system to simplify product selection.

On the main page we are trying to divide into three type of customers:

Go EASY: You will be see all available bundles for your region
Go ADVANCED: This link sends you directly to our reworked configurator
Go PROFESSIONAL: If you know what you want, you get a direct link to all our main products

We also have a new product menu in the top menu but not on this Community page for now. It will give you a quick overview about all our products with pictures, pricing and compatibility.

And finally we have revised the product pages and are now listing all bundles where the product is included along with the new "Configure" button.

What do you think of it and what further improvements would you like to see?

    • Fanatec on next gen consoles
      • A few people are wondering why we are so quiet.

We will not make the mistake again to mention new things too early. We
will announce something new if production is about to start. We are
working on several products for several platforms and every one of our
new products will set a new benchmark as they did in the past.

        We
are also trying hard to protect the investment of our existing customers
by making our current products upwards compatible. But we cannot
confirm that before the final consoles are released.

Almost anybody can do that! You don't have to be a dealer or reseller and we want to promote our products together with the community just like we work together on development.

We offer a commission of up to 15% for certain products and our affiliate program might work better because you can only get the products at Fanatec.com so the risk that you promote something but the purchase is being made on a different website with lower price does not exist.

Please note that the system we used on the old website was just an extension and had many technical problems. This time we we are using Post Affiliate Pro which is an independent service provider which makes sure that all clicks are tracked and everything will run smooth and reliable.

    • Introducing the ClubSport USB Adapter
      • After getting a lot of inquiries from non-Fanatec customers showing interest in the ClubSport Shifter, we decided to make it compatible to all PC racing games supporting multiple input devices.

Most of the current sims do support multiple devices so you have broad compatibility. As Fanatec wheel owners don't need that, it would have just increased the unit price of the shifter so this adapter solution is the best for both.

But the adapter firmware is upgradeable and with a different firmware you can also operate the following devices through USB:

        • ClubSport Handbrake
        • ClubSport Shifter knob (this is a shifter knob with buttons)
        • CSL Elite Pedals

Future controllers might be supported as well.

    • Xbox One versus PlayStation 4

      • I am currently here at E3 and a lot of things are going on. It is exciting to see a new console generation coming up.

At the moment we still did not get a final confirmation whether our Xbox 360 wheels will work on Xbox One natively (USB) or with an adaper or upgrade kit or not at all. Therefore we cannot promise you anything other than that we are trying to find a solution and if MS allows it then we would certainly support any solution which increases the compatibility of your XBox 360 wheels.

You can be sure that we are working to make our wheels compatible with the next gen consoles or develop solutions which will provide compatibility but at this point it is too early to discuss it.

In any case our wheels will work with GT6 and after playing it, I am quite excited about the improvements of the physics.

        So what is your opinion?

        Xbox One or PS4?

        Forza Motorsport 5 or GT6?

    • CSW review by ISR

      • So after doing some intensive testing, Team ISR published the review of the ClubSport Wheel and both ClubSport rims.

I have to admit that as much as they have tried to break the wheel, I have tried to find something negative on this review but i couldn't (ok ok the fact that we sell the pedals separatly is mostly rather seen as a pro and not a con for many of our customers).

This is an extremely detailed and informative review about all aspects of this product and all features are well covered. The critisizm on the manuals is well taken and we will try to improve. In fact we are already working on a video for the Tuning functions.

        Well done, Darin and Shaun!

      • Our new commnity software is ready to be implemented so we can finally merge the blog and a proper forum to our fanatec.com website.

I am now looking for members to  help us with the following:

        • Create content
        • Help members
        • Test the functionality of the forum or new features
        • Organize community events
        • Create rules and enforce them in a positive way
        • Make our community a informative and friendly place

To qualify, please list everything which helps us to make a positive decision:

        • Moderator roles in other forums
        • Activities in other communities
        • English skills
        • website progamming skills (optional)

Most of all, I would like to have friendly and professional people in my team. I am not a fan of banning people or locking threads. There must be some rules but a vivid community should be managed by reasonable people with skills to manage escalated situations and bring everybody back together.

Please leave a comment if you are interested.
