The order cancellation process is partially automated. Refunds are processed next working day. The time it takes to actually show in your bank/PayPal account can vary. In can be immediate, but it can also take a few days, depending on the payment method.
Just in case, I have also made a separate request with the sales department to verify that the refund was processed.
