How else do you expect Fanatec to respond with out the ranting that needs to be done to get a reaction or even just a response on an accurate delivery date seeing they have changed their minds at least 4 promised delivery dates in the past with still no end in site, IT MAY BE OK for XBOX GAME BOYS to wait but for serious sim drivers in Iracing Its not, and as far as not holding us to ransom what do you call paying for the system over 5 months ago and paying for Iracing subscription that I cannot use seeing I sold my own equipment in preparation for the new equipment that should have been delivered in September. For pre paid systems from that date Fanatec should of made them a priority in supplying them First as I was also told from Fanatec that they were going to Ship directly to me and would not have to wait for the shipment to arrive in Australia September 30th. And I am still Waiting ........................................ETA ??????????????????????? :-@
It was a figure of speech mate. All he is saying is since the ETA has been missed by several weeks, it would be nice to be informed of any information at all instead of being virtually left in the dark with vague updates that are never backed up. Its 2014, tracking where your cargo worth thousands and thousands of dollars should not be this hard. If there is some sort of issue tracking this information, let us know. That's all we ask. We don't blame Fanatec in any way shape or form, just expect to be kept in the loop.
We are all entitled to voice our thoughts in this "open forum" So let the ranters rant. They sure paid enough to earn that right.
@ Thomas, It is clear that all us Australian's want is an update and estimated time frame. We are all happy to wait if we have a light at the end of the tunnel
You might be being a bit overly dramatic. Of course at some point we will all get our wheels. When they get here, they will get here, so no worries.
Why is asking for information dramatic yea hope we can wait another 4 months. This is great fun
no worries!
Asking for info is one thing, suggesting that there's no "light at the end of the tunnel" is another. Maybe you read what I'm actually talking about before being self-centered and thinking I was specifically addressing you. And if this whole waiting thing bothers you so much, I know many places you can go pick yourself up a tx, this very moment..
Fanatec aren't holding you hostage, this is your choice, remember that.
Open forum? Actually, this a blog that allows comments. If you want a forum to rant, goto NeoGAF. I, like others, am tired of seeing the same old Bart Simpson whine of "are we there yet".
We know you are waiting, Fanatec knows you are waiting, the dog down the street knows you are waiting. Keep waiting, or go walkabout, no need to keep filling this blog with the same boring retort.
Hey Dillon,
Let's keep this civil shall we?
If you have the right to tell us to be quiet, we have the right to make noise. The pendulum swings both ways, if we don't have the right to express our satisfaction or dissatisfaction with Fanatec and our delivery agreements, you don't have the right to express your satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the way in which we chose to get in touch with Fanatec.
Many of us have sent emails, which either gave us very incorrect information or no reply at all. So we have taken to a form of communication which we know Thomas has replied in the past.
No-one here is bashing Fanatec, or making any false accusation, we are not being impatient or unreasonable, we are simply asking that we get an updated delivery date and/or a reason for the delays. We are happy to wait as we have all stated numerous times.
Going through your comment history, you have done nothing but attack people who has asked Fanatec about almost anything, from delivery dates, to customer service complaints. Why?
Reading through your comments, you seem like a propaganda agent. Always attempting to put a positive spin on everything.
You have an ETA of 30/1/2015 for your wheelbase, so I'll tell you what, how about instead of defending Fanatec, put yourself in the shoes of someone like myself. Who has bought this wheelbase for my son for Christmas. With an ETA of 08/12/2014, this seemed like plenty of time to ensure it's under the tree by the 25th, but in Australia, people who where expected to get their wheelbases in the first wave still have not received them almost 1 month later, and with the second round approaching fast. I expect this second date will also not be achieved.
Once again I'll say, as everyone else has, "This is fine", just please tell me now so I can arrange for something else to be under the tree come Christmas time.
I don't want him to be disappointed, but I also don't want to have to buy another gift when the base will arrive on time.
I'll tell you what, if your wheelbase is still not in your hands come 30/2/2015 and Fanatec hasn't responded to your emails or 'blog posts' please feel free to come here and sing the praises of Thomas and Fanatec, but until then, please let us say our piece. We are being respectful and calm about this. No negativity towards Fanatec, just asking that we get the information that we absolutely should have at this stage.
I have told no one to be quite, there are plenty of positive comments in my history, not that that matters here. You contradict yourself, you say "you have done nothing but attack people" and then in the next line "Always attempting to put a positive spin on everything." So is it a bad thing that I'm tired of the rants? That I try to stay positive? Negativity is toxic, and if no one cleans up the toxic, we will have a world full of ****, which I would rather not have. I have given the same level of respect to those that they have shown to Thomas/Fanatec. And here, I'm merely pointing out(possibly a bit blunt) that the rants aren't being productive, as they haven't been in the past either.
I am waiting also, like you said, but I am in no way assuming that my delivery date is guaranteed as I was never told it was guaranteed. If you want a definite delivery date for xmas, i'm sorry, but this was never the place. Hopeful, yes, but you are better off ordering another product if you need something to be under the tree. I have heard time and time again, "Fanatec CS is terrible", "you'll wait for months!!!", "bla bla bla". From being a fairly new customer of Fanatec, and reading of how the CSW and other releases were in the past, I'm not holding my breath, but rather will just continue to breath while I wait..
They have not given you an accurate ETA in the past, so what makes you think they will give an accurate ETA in the future? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is signs of delusion if you ask me. Thomas has commented in these blogs before, so i'll give you that, but rarely has it been in reply to any of the people ranting or beating the dead horse. What I have said in the past was only in conjunction to people making posts that weren't productive nor likely to get any results, those same results of which you seek.
Wow, these posts are good reading at the very least, -BUT- I have tried a little reverse logic on getting a response that I needed to hear, and at least for now it made me a little more patient:
1- After waiting around 3 wks after putting in my pre-order, I emailed their support requesting an ETA on shipment for the v2 base+wheel I ordered, and hopefully like me, alot of people got a response the next day! (ok, that told me they DO respond to an email with a question).
2.- couple of days later, after reading some posts on load cells eventually going bad on the pedals and I've had mine for awhile and still worked, what the hell, Ill put in a order for a load cell sensor, just to have one as backup....sure only 15 bucks + postage..rrrrr... but done. Approx. 2 wks later had the damn thing in my hand. So at least for now this told me something about this company,
When they have a product in their facility, THEY WILL SHIP IT. (via air, tugboat whatever). I proved that to myself, by ordering the cheapest thing they got.
Conclusion: They are getting buried on the pre-order of the v2 base, and ill be patient.. but I will expect nothing but a flawless useable product when It finally comes...time for a cold one...thx.
I love that you are such a dedicated fan of the product. If you are happy, thats great. Others aren't happy about the lack of communication. As long as they were told something, most will be happy with that and wait. Given you are all good, I am confused why you are getting involved in the discussion at all.

Given that arguing with people on the internet is almost equal to descending through the rings of Hell, I'll send this reply then I'm going to bow out.
I am a new customer, so I have no idea their CS was horrible and promises where not going to be delivered. An email reply telling me something that is not true is not good CS, it's simply a reply to appease the customer and draw this whole thing out for another day.
Also, when I order something and they say the delivery date is going to be xx/xx/xxxx, and then they don't deliver, as a customer, regardless of the manufacture's history of being terrible at delivering an item, I deserve a reason as to why it's not going to make that date. Especially given it HAS made that date else where... The issue isn't that everyone isn't getting them, just us Australian's by the sounds of things (Please correct me if I am wrong and if I am I'll recant the previous line in advance, however at this point all current posts about missed first round appear to be from Aussies).
You say that I'm contradicting, not at all, you missed the point. You spend your time attacking the customer and putting a positive spin on Fanatec, if you even once flew the banner for a customer I wouldn't have mentioned it, however you have been in almost every blog post calling people out for what you perceive to be inappropriate behaviour against Fanatec.
We get it, you like Fanatec. You are willing to put up with their crap, however all you have successfully done now is point out how horribly they are handling the situation. Before I was patient, then I was concerned, now you have brought to my attention their terrible CS and delivery record. As such, you have just brought this to the attention of people like myself and others whom did not know about this. So in your defence of Fanatec and request to have us all "Keep waiting, or go walkabout, no need to keep filling this blog with the same boring retort." You effectively brought up Fanatec's short comings to a wider audience that was probably not aware of their history. I certainly wasn't.
You have every right to express your opinion on these blogs, as do we. If you are sick of reading about how we paid $600+ for an item and haven't received it 1 month later. Maybe you shouldn't be reading blog posts from a company that in your words "Have not given an accurate ETA in the past", as this is bound to be what people are going to ask about.
As for respect for Fanatec/Thomas, they have our money. As a community, we funded the CSW v2 project being made and manufactured. How about they show us some respect and tell us where our purchased goods are, or at least how much longer they expect us to have to wait. Some people paid for this 4 months ago to give Fanatec the capital to have these wheelbases made, however they get a little return on investment in the form of communication.
Logistically, if they are on the water, they will have a rough ETA, if they haven't shipped them yet and just aren't telling us, they have a reason and can at least give us an updated ETA. If they are in Australian Customs, they have a rough ETA. If they are out of stock and need to produce more, they have a reason and can give us an updated ETA.
There is no reason I can think of as to why they wouldn't be able to tell us why there has been a 1 month wait with no explanation as to why.
Your whole argument that we should just "Put-up and Shut-up" (Australian colloquialism, please don't take it literally, feel free to use Google to learn what it means), is simply wrong.
Now, you've said your piece to us Australian's, we've said our piece to Fanatec, so unless either you or another Australian has something productive to add. Why don't we just leave this here before this descends any further than it already has...
I can totaly understand you, but you are not the only one who is waiting. I'm from Europe my Shipping date as I ordered was early November now support told me its early December.
What I want to say is, that not only australian customers are waiting. And when you payed almost 1100euro for a set via prepayment you get every day more nervous
I really feel sorry about the customer support that have to deal every day with hundreds of angry customers. It would be really better if there is finally a statement
People, delivery dates were never part of your agreement. We agreed to PREORDER, exchanging our money to be part of an exclusive group that will receive this product before it hits the general market. Check your invoice for a delivery date. Any dates you saw were suggested only. If a delivery date is important, you negotiate that and insist they include it on your agreement. Hahaha. So it wasn't important when you ordered! You all make me laugh! Honestly, we have no right to complain. I'm anxious, giddy with anticipation but not upset! This is a joyous time! I wouldnt trade my 'place in line' for double the money now. Well... you know what I mean.
Given that arguing with people on the internet is almost equal to descending through the rings of Hell, I'll send this reply then I'm going to bow out..................
That was one of the most classiest response post I have read in a long time. And Aaron I like you are just waiting for my base and hopefully some time next year a wheel for the X1. Cheers my friend for staying classy.
When pre ordering the base, still does, they DO say availability date and NOT ESTIMATED availability date.
And second...what's the title of this blog topic: The wait is over....NOT...
so I understand how you guys feel if your all ready waiting 4 months and/or expecting to give/have it under the Xmas tree.
But I also think it only does the product good to wait a .... Longer time. I don't mind my product being double checked and tested till fingerbleeded until getting it.
And YES the lack of communication arround this wait is frustrating and all most feels like they're hiding something....But obviously that's the way Fanatec worked in the past likewise. (also didn't know that) But that's the way it is....unfortunately.
I'll no longer check back here for actual "updates", as I see it's come to the point where Fanatec is now probably just ignoring all this grab-ass, and for good reason. Have fun guys n gal, i'm out as well.

New to this area but the reading is better than so called "reality TV". Didn't think he was interested in the "updates" of product availability.......oh well.
I contacted the customer support yesterday and I got the information that my preordered v2 base would be shipped on december 8th.
Today I got this email:
Dear Valued Customer,
Today ourcarrier has informed us about some shipping delays. We are so sorry that your order of the ClubSport Wheel Base V2 is affected by this matter.
The current estimated shipping date is delayed to end of December 2014. Please be aware that we will do our best to re-ship the ordered goods after the customs clearances process at the earliest date as possible, we hope we can send your order before Christmas.
We fullyunderstand if you are not willing to wait for such a long time to obtain your order. Of course, you can withdraw your order at any time. We would then refund the pre-payments immediately.
We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences arising by this shipping delay.
OT is there a setting to stop getting an email everytime someone posts this thread (unsubscribe?). I must be blind... well I deselected the "bookmark" button (green cross), but I do not believe this is the unsub button for the thread.
