No, this is not the issue. If it was in xbox mode the ring around the power button would be green, also, it would actually turn off by the power button without having to pull the power cable. This is something else entirely and does not appear normal.
This is the problem with Fanatec - the software development cycle is chaotic. Each beta release does not simply resolve existing issues, it often introduces new ones. There does not seem to be any logical method in their development cycle. The retail website recommends versions with known issues, some of which have been fixed in subsequent betas, but those fixes aren't making it into the release versions. If you have multiple wheels it is impossible to install a version that will allow all wheels to be used with the optimal versions as it is different for many. What works for one wheel breaks another. To work out what version to install the retail website is no help - you need to join the forum and read dozens of threads and thousands of comments. This is made harder as the beta thread that we are all told to bookmark to keep abreast of developments no longer gets updated. If you ask a question or point out that something isn't working you get treated like an idiot and pointed to a post buried 12 pages previously. It shouldn't be this difficult.
Now it has to be many months to try to have a new driver, the driver 365 came out on April 2, it's been 4 months and still nothing. Most often come out drivers that have additional bugs and do not solve the previous ones. And still you have to wait months to have another driver that won't work.
Another problem is none of these latest drivers are official. If anything happens to your base and it was using beta driver or firmware, they could technically not accept any warranty as thats what the beta conditions state. And considering the issues you read about, Im a bit worried trying any of them out. I have carefully installed 346 or something on my DD1 back then, got the 100% fan bug, fixed it but its safe to say I wont be trying a beta driver any time soon as it was a bit scary having a 1200 euro wheel base doing something "unexpected".
Im very happy with my DD1 so cant complain much but you'd think after the recent period when Fanatec must have had one of the most profitable times, they could invest a little more into the driver/fw development and testing.
I completely agree regarding the warrenty aspect when it comes to beta drivers which is why I haven't installed any of them, even though I've had my thoughts about doing so many times because I really want to purchase a podium hub amongst other things... the funny thing is, if you go to the podium hub page, the 346 driver you mention is listet as a betadriver, but if you go to the DD wheelbases the 346 driver is not listet as a betadriver, so is it or is it not a beta driver?.... 😀
I updated the drivers and then it wanted to update the firmware on my 2.5. After updating the firmware, the base is not recognize my Windows anymore. Tried unplugging and plugging back in. Tried power down and restart of the base. Tried rebooting the PC. Nothing seems to allow the base to be seen by the PC anymore. Any ideas?

Are you using a Xbox compatible steering wheel? The Base will default into Xbox Mode after a Firmware update when a Xbox compatible wheel is attached and then the pc cant recognise the base anymore - simply change it back to PC mode would fix this.
Sounds similar to the issue I had. Was the light around the power button red or green? If it was green it was in Xbox mode as Maurice indicates however if it was red it was not; mine was not in XBox mode and I also couldn't turn it off using the button.
My academic background does not allow me to state this, but it seems to me a problem also in the communication between the steering wheel and the base (wireless quick release firmware) and not only in the steering wheel.
But as I wrote myself, I cannot say because it is not my professional area.

Is there list of official drivers for different units?
"Official Driver Packages" thread is empty.
I´m using V356 for my Podium Racing Wheel F1, if it goes broken it´s not under warranty because I use "beta driver"?
Of course not, using Beta driver does NOT harm the warranty under any circumstances.
Thanks for information!
I´m happy for V356, I would install V365 (read that it works better with ACC PS4 version) but I use also UHX so not an option.

Otherwise try different USB ports.
Aha! Not sure how to switch PC vs XBOX modes, but removed the wheel from the base and then the base was recognized! Woot.
How to switch modes is explained in the Quick Guide.

Hello,
I use driver 346 with the firmwares in it.
dd2
formula v2.
Is it possible to use the SW FW from Page 20 with driver 346 for my formula v2?
Many Regards
no, that would give you absolutely no benefit because it only freezes with drivers 352+ (and included base firmwares).
Thank you for the fast response.
👍
Any CSW(v2) user already installed/use 369's? Ok or something odd ie compared to 365's?
369?
369 beta drivers (dated 30.7.2020), or are they only for DD's?
There is no driver 369 beta driver available (for public). Next driver after 365 will be 37X.
"...but if you want to test the version we will release in the next days you can do so with this file..."
I used V369 few days and it works just fine, also ACC PS4 version works now properly without need re-start base every time when start driving.
No yet any jolts what I have tested. UHX buttons map correctly.
Hope next public beta arrive soon 😉
Podium Racing Wheel F1 bundle
Universal Hub with Podium paddles
V3 Pedals
Shifter & Handbrake
Sorry but I strongly disagree.
I am getting countless freezes with this driver, it seems to me that it is still not the way.
It freezes much more than 365, which I got from freezes in 02 months using 365, the 369 surpassed in 02 days of testing.
I am making notes to report the concrete data to Marcel.
DD2
CSW Formula V2 + PAPM
iRacing - GT3/GTE
Never got any freezes, not with CSL Elite, neither DD1 for PS4.
Maby those freezes are only with PC.
What exactly freezed for you? The whole wheelbase, the Fv2 together with the APM?
Only CSW Formula V2 + APM, buttons, shifters, oled panel, revLeds.
But FFB is still working when the freeze happens?
Yes the FFB is normal. The base and peripherals continue to work perfectly.
My academic background does not allow me to state this, but it seems to me a problem also in the communication between the steering wheel and the base (wireless quick release firmware) and not only in the steering wheel.
But as I wrote myself, I cannot say because it is not my professional area.
What's your WQR Firmware? V5 or V6?
V6
